Funny Hands was built by people who have spent their careers working in television.
Today, we work across sports presentation, awards ceremonies, live music events, corporate communications, audience-facing productions and live-streamed content. Along the way we’ve worked with organisations including Formula 1, Disney, Warner Music, Paramount, MTV, Utility Warehouse, YouTube Space London and the British Independent Film Awards. While the subject matter changes, the principles of great live television remain remarkably consistent.
What those clients have in common is that they’re experts in their own field. Our role is to bring the television experience, helping turn their ideas into engaging live productions that look great and run smoothly.
Great productions aren’t about having the biggest crew or the most equipment. They’re about having the right people, in the right roles, working together towards the same goal.
At Funny Hands, our Producers produce, our Directors direct, our Floor Managers run the studio floor, our Camera Operators focus on capturing great pictures and our Sound Supervisors concentrate on delivering excellent audio. Most members of our team have spent years, and in many cases decades, developing their expertise within television and live production.
No two productions are the same, which is why we don’t approach them all in the same way. A Formula 1 production requires different skills to a children’s programme. A live music event requires different experience to a corporate town hall. One of the strengths of Funny Hands is understanding those differences and building the right team for each production.
Clients come back to Funny Hands because we care about the productions we deliver and we’re a pleasure to work with. We take the work seriously, but not ourselves. We enjoy solving problems, supporting our clients and helping turn their ideas into great television.
